Console miner released

by

We released the console version of miner for those who prefer command-line interface. Check out this section in Downloads.

Here are the installation instructions.

To start mining with Minergate Console miner:

  1. Download miner
  2. Launch miner with desirable settings:
    minergate-cli -user YOUR-EMAIL -bcn 2 -fcn+xmr 2
Where YOUR-EMAIL is your login on Minergate, 2 – number of cores.

If you don’t write the number of cores after coin, Miner will be mining on all cores. Miner will adjust pool ports automatically, you don’t have to write them

Hello, thank you for the suggestion, we will look into this when we’ll be working on the upcoming releases!

Hi,

How to do step 2 above?

“Launch miner with desirable settings”

Do I need to save a text file? Please elaborate more on the step. thanks

Hi, how to actually “Launch miner with desired settings”? Please elaborate on this step. Do I need to create a text file with this line “minergate-cli -user YOUR-EMAIL -bcn 2 -fcn+xmr 2”?

Thanks

Hello! No, you don’t need to create a text file, just copy the line to the program. Although, merged mining for Monero doesn’t work. For example, if I want to mine Monero, the line will be NsGpuCNMiner64 -o stratum+tcp://mro.pool.minergate.com:45560 -u koukijanika@gmail.com -p x

Hi Janika, thank you for the info.

In the Claymore readme file, it stated that miner is for AMD cards only. While I read in the blog that NVidia cards were supported before.

Please feedback whether it is still possible to use NVidia cards, and where to download the file, & what command line to use.

Thanks again.

Sorry, as Claymore is not our software, unfortunately, we don’t know all the specifics and supported devices. Please contact the Claymore community.

Hi,

Where i can get a list of minergate console settings?

Thanks,

Bruno Neves

Hello, enter the command -help in the miner and you’ll get the list of possible settings and commands.

Is it possible to use the minergate-cli to access a different pool which is not normally part of the Minergate platform? I know this is possible with the GUI version, but have not found a way to do this from the command line. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hello, please enter the command -help and follow the given instructions.

Hello, the current version has it. In addition, we will soon be issuing an updated version of our cli miner, it will have multiple GPU support, too.

I try mining on my notebook with core i5 4210U and nvidia geforce 920m under windows 8.1 and use “minergate-cli -user -dsh 2 2”
CPU avg hashrates 35khs
GPU avg hashrates 52khs
same hashrate for another coin.
it’s look like almost same speed for CPU and GPU, is that normal or too slowly for GPU?
can I speedup with command line for GPU mining? because if I using another console it’s showing 683khs for dash mining.

When I double click on the minergate-cli.exe I get the command windows like this

Pool Parameter Query….
Loading Miners….
Miner Loaded Successfully…
Email Missing!!! Exiting… Then closes…

How can I get it to stay and type the email? is there a bat file I need to have?

Thanks

Hello! Try opening the console version through cmd.exe and enter the needed parameters.

Hello! I downloaded console miner for windows 64 but after installation it prompts the command window but will shut off immediately why? and where to put this line “minergate-cli -user mysatoshifaucets@gmail.com -bcn 1 -fcn+xmr 1″

Hello, please open the console miner using cmd.exe. There you will be able to put the desired settings.

What is the parameter to be added to the line “minergate-cli -user xxxxxx@gmail.com -bcn 2 -fcn+xmr 1″ to use the GPU over the CPU?
How to switch between CPU and GPU?
i have Nvidia Geforce gt740m does it supported or not?
Thanks a lot.

Hi there! Unfortunately, the current version of our console miner doesn’t support GPU mining.

Hello! The version of our cli miner that supports GPU mining is currently in beta. We will release it soon.

I have two instances of the Windows desktop app running for a total hash around 150 and 2 VM’s running with a hash around 900 through the CLI version, but only the 150 is showing up in the dashboard. Does the dashboard include CLI versions that are running on the same currency?

Hello! It happens because even if you have virtual machines, they are still using the same hardware, which has certain capacity that it cannot exceed. Thus, the hashrate that you get from the virtual machines set up on the same hardware isn’t taken into consideration.

Hello! Did you manage to run it? If you did, you can enter -help to access the list of available commands.

Does has a way to minergate-cli miner eth, btc and another altcoins or only bcn fcn and dsh?

I have two questions about the cli-version:

– Will support for more coins comming soon?
– Will there also be GPU support?

Hello Xiaomi Mi,

Yes, some coins with GPU support are coming to MinerGate! We will keep you updated. Thank you
